travel north america canada british columbia north thormanby island around the island
North Thormanby Island is located in the Georgia Strait just off the Sunshine Coast north of Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada.
It is a "sand" island with high cliffs on three sides and the village of Vaucroft on the forth, east, side facing the Sunshine Coast.
Most of the island is heavily forested with cedar, hemlock, balsam, alder and maple trees.
When we visit, my cousin Eric brings his boat to Secret Cove for a fifteen minute ride to the island.
